— Before you start
The questions almost everyone asks.
Picjar is a German service for collecting the photos and videos your wedding guests take, all in one place. You put up a QR code, your guests scan it with their phone camera and upload — no app, no account, no sign-up. Everything lands in your gallery in full resolution, you download it as the original, and the data stays on servers in Germany.
No. Guests scan the QR code with their normal camera — the gallery opens right in the browser. No download, no account, no sign-up. From scan to first uploaded photo takes less than ten seconds, even for grandparents.
Full resolution. Photos and videos land in your gallery exactly as the phone captured them — up to 4K, no messenger compression. Download each file individually or everything at once as originals, print-ready for a photo book.
No — by design. Your photographer delivers the big, perfectly lit shots. Picjar captures everything in between: your best man's glance, the table no tripod reached, the hour after midnight. Together they tell the whole day.
Your gallery stays online for 12 months, so latecomers can still add their photos. Whatever you download in full resolution is yours forever — locally, with no expiry date and no subscription to keep running.
Uploads keep running in the background and retry automatically once there's signal again. Guests can close the gallery — the photos still finish uploading. Over mobile data too, if the venue Wi-Fi gives up.
No. Picjar Upgrade costs a one-time 39,90 € per wedding — no monthly plan, no per-guest fee, no follow-up costs. Want to try first? Create a free gallery and switch anytime.
Absolutely. Christening, milestone birthday, graduation, company party — anywhere many people experience the same day from different angles, a gallery fills up all by itself.
